Want depilation without irritation? Make your own sugar paste at home!

Sugar paste

Probably, most of us have tried many ways to get rid of body hair. Some of them are very painful or cause irritation that can lead to bigger problems like infection and inflammation. Inflammation of these parts causes pigmentation and scars. Also, not everyone has time and money to go to salons for beauty treatments that probably needs to do every month. So maybe there is one solution for you – sugar paste.

First of all, people need to know that body hair is a normal thing and fighting against it is not necessary, you should do it only if you want it in the areas you think it’s fine with you. The next step is that you find what type of hair removal is best for you so here is one suggestion that you actually can do at home.

This is an ancient way of hair removal – Egyptian depilation. In ancient Egypt people (both women and men) have their beauty standards where they shouldn’t have body hair. So, they used this type of hair removal as a solution. Sugar paste is based on natural ingredients that you probably have in the kitchen. It’s easy to make and gives pretty good results.

How to make sugar paste?

You will need:

2 cups of sugar

1 lemon

water (1/8 of a cup)

Now mix all the ingredients: sugar, lemon juice, and water. Boil it together until you see the sugar become brown. This is how you know the paste is ready. The caramelization is done, now you leave it to cool and become thick. The paste is good if you can make a ball with it. If it is too liquid you should add some sugar and repeat boiling, but if it is too thick add water and repeat the process. Also, you should know it is important to use the same cup in measuring, but which size of the cup is your choice on how much paste you need.

How to use sugar paste?

When sugar paste is cooled you should try it. Use smaller amounts on smaller parts of the skin. Apply one smaller amount and make one layer on the skin. Do it in the opposite way of hair growth and wait for a few seconds to stick it on the skin. Now you can remove it in the way of hair growth. This is also the difference between sugar depilation and wax depilation. Sugar glues the body hair so you can peel it off in the way of hair growth. You can use it on any part of your body.

Also, you should know practice makes this technique better every time. Like everything, this also needs some time to succeed but believe me it will be good for your skin in the end.

Benefits of Egyptian hair removal

Every ingredient has its purpose in this paste. Water is for density of paste, lemon helps the sugar to boil and stay fluent. But the best part is sugar in this. Sugar is like glue, it sticks to hairs but not to skin. This is the best thing about this type of hair removal. It can not damage the skin ( of course if you can be patient and wait until a paste is cooled unless you can burn yourself). Wax, for example, can remove the top layer of skin and that is the cause of irritation, but sugar does not do that. Also, sugar is good for the skin when you use it from the outside because it rejuvenates the skin. Also, it keeps sebum on the optimal level.

Hope you like it and try it.
